10.5 K Run & 1/2 Marathon

So you all guessed right. Jimmy finally got me to do one of these races. It wasn't a triathlon or anything, but I ran 10 Kilometers (6.5 miles) this morning and survived. WOO HOO! I finished the race in about 55 minutes and was thankful it was done. Alice, Jimmy's sister, came in after me and completed her run in an hour. We then hung out for Jimmy to finish his half-marathon. He ran 21.5 Kilometers (13.5 miles). It was a fun day believe it or not. It was really fun being a part of an event like that. I'll tell you one thing though...I was glad that I only ran the 10 K today and not the half marathon. Someday. Jimmy is already wanting to run a full marathon. All of you already know that he is somewhat crazy so I don't have to explain that any more. :) Oh ya...after that, we had to drop Jimmy off at his baseball game for the afternoon. Crazy. I finished the race with a lamington, a Corona, Hamburger and Fries. Tough way to spend the rest of the afternoon. PS- The lamington was delicious! You won't know what it is until you come out to Australia. So get your asses out here!

7 months

So it has been exactly 7 months tomorrow since I have been here in Oz. That time has gone by fast huh? Anyways, this weekend was pretty casual in that it was just Jimmy and myself. Went went out and had a good dinner on Saturday night. We came home and followed dinner with a movie. Overall it was a good night out. Today I woke up and had a blueberry bagel for one. Yum! That is all I can say about that. We then went off to Jimmy's baseball game. After the game and after running a few errands, we came home and I decided to make a carrot cake and a new dinner. The dinner was delicious and the carrot cake...well we are about to find out. A fun little fact about the carrot cake though is I made the frosting and it was pretty much double what we needed so Jimmy thought that it was a great idea to take his finger and...you know what happened next. You guessed right...he put it right on my face! Seriously! We had a good laugh and as he was getting it off my face I was a little sneaky and reached my hand in the bowl and got him back. Fun times. According to Jimmy, the cake is "Oooh yeah." I gotta go and try it out.
